Stitch Fix Box Review – June

Recently I was introduced to a fun fashion box called Stitchfix.  I know, I’m like the last person to hear of this box.  It’s SUPER popular, and for good reason.

What is Stitchfix?
It’s a monthly box, with 5 fashion items (clothes or jewelry/accessories) that are hand picked by stylists.  The box is delivered each month, (on a day you choose)!

No time to shop or keep up with the latest fashions?  No problem…Stitch fix will pick out clothes and ship them to your house!

It’s a mom’s dream really.  My problem is I LOVE shopping, but in-store shopping has lost it’s luster, because bringing two little kids shopping is more stressful than anything.  Which is why Stitch fix is a great fit for me!

You’ll start out by taking a quiz on which fashion styles you Love, Like, Dislike (you get the idea).

Style
Then you’ll answer questions about your own measurements so the stylists can send you clothes that fit! (Which so far has been great from my experience).  They also have petite options and maternity options! I WISH I would’ve known about this box when I was prego…it would’ve made clothes shopping so much more fun.  Then you select the day you’d like your first shipment and bam! Your first fix on the way!

Once you receive your box, you have 3 days to decide if you’re going to keep an item or ship it back.  I suggest keeping at least one item in every box, so you don’t lose your styling fee!

If you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off the entire box!!  (This makes everything more affordable for sure!)

How much is it?  You will pay $19 a month for a “styling fee” but the best part is that ‘fee’ will be credited toward any items in your box that you want to keep.

Here’s my June box reveal:

The first is a Dress I requested.  (That’s another great option, you can tell your stylist what you’re looking for and need.  You also can link your pinterest board to your account so your stylist can get a visual idea of your style).

I did request a few items for this box, specifically a dress and a maxi dress.  They sent both.

This dress is called the Collective Concepts, Jane Dress.  I really wanted to keep it, but the dress was a little too tight on the bust, so I sent it back. 🙁 Even though I really liked the fit.  Bummer.

The jeans and shirt are both from my box…I requested some skinny jeans that I could wear in the winter and fall as well.  These fit ok, but I didn’t love the waist on them…it was too high.  (My torso is too short, so they went above my belly button almost!) The Jeans are the Mavi brand Angie Skinny Jean and the shirt (which I kept) is called Sweet Rain Sati Crew neck blouse.  This shirt was actually pinned on my pinterest board, so I KNOW they really do read your profile and note.

The last item in my box I was really on the fence about, and I really liked the color and design in the back.  Then I took these pictures  and saw my huge surgery scar (on my left shoulder).  It’s an adorable shirt, and it fit really well.  I’m just not feeling the scar right now so I sent the shirt back.  I have a feeling I’m going to regret this later.  (I did think the shirt material was a tad itchy too!)  This shirt was by Papermoon and was called the Emerson Cutout Back Detail Blouse.

So all in all, I kept one item from my box (the Sati shirt) and had fun trying on clothes from the comfort of my own home!  Kids were sleeping and I got to try out clothes with my own accessories, shoes and matching clothes before making a decision.  I also had 3 days to decide which I thinks help cut down on impulse buying….which I Never do. 😉
