Learn to Swim Day & Water Safety with SwimWays

This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

With summer break only weeks (or days) away, it’s time to stat planning all the fun summer events that you’ll be doing with your family.  The #1 thing my kids want to do is GO SWIMMING! (What about yours?)

While I love taking them to go swimming, I also dread it at the same time.  Mainly because it can be a little nerve wracking for a mom with three kids under 7 years of age.  One can swim, and the other two….are working on it shall we say.

My seven year old has always LOVED the water, and took to it like a little fish.  My five year old on the other hand, has never been very brave shall we say when it comes to water.  Which makes me sooooo incredibly nervous, because water safety is something I’m SO passionate about!

This year is his year though, because he’s starting summer swim lessons (again) and he’s going to be visiting the pool and local reservoir with his new SwimWays Swim trainer.

Swimming with Swimways

Teaching your kids how to swim young is such an important life skill and safety precaution.  Every year I worry about my kids being near water, but if they could swim…that worry would subside.  In an attempt to help educate and encourage others to teach their children to swim, every year there is an International Learn To Swim Day.  It’s the 3rd Saturday of May every year, so this year it will be held on May 18, 2019. (this weekend)

So to celebrate it, my family is heading to a reservoir that is near our home to have some fun in the sun, on the swim beach.

Since my 5 year old is still learning to swim, I’m feeling REALLY confident about him being near the water this year thanks to his new SwimWays Swim trainer!

My son absolutely loves the design of the Paw Patrol crew on his new trainer.  The Paw Patrol Swim Trainer is “Swim Step 2” in the SwimWays Swim Step Program. It’s US Coast Guard approved and will help to keep your child safe in the water!  That’s something ALL parents will love!

SwimWays encourages parents and caregivers internationally to celebrate in their own way this weekend as the temperature heats up and pools open across the U.S. in May.  This weekend makes it a great opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of water safety and teaching children to swim.  Help spread the word about Water Safety by sharing this post with your friends and family!  And be sure to head to Walmart to pick up your SwimWays products for this season!
