January came and went, like a flash!
I knew that it would be a slow month on the blog, I just wasn’t expecting it to be THIS slow in terms of traffic and sponsored opportunities. I began tracking my blogging monetization last spring, and since then it’s been a roller coaster. Some months I’m riding high, and some I’m riding low. In January….I was riding pretty low.
After a slow December and January, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to change up my blog a bit…namely my blog name. I began blogging in 2011 and started as a deal blogger. (Wasn’t everyone!?lol) Since then, my focus has shifted away from deal blogging and toward lifestyle and fashion. Long story short, I’m changing the blog name. Away from OrganicDealDiva towards…
JessiLivingLovely – Finding Beauty in Everyday
This will take some time…I know. I’m not looking forward to it. BUT, I am looking forward to not being a “deal” blogger in the eyes of companies and influence networks and most importantly readers. The word DEAL in my name is kind of hard to shake ya know.
As we grow, does does our blog.
So I’m very excited to start working on this name change. (Coming up with blog names is hard work!)
The focus of the blog will be the same, I’ll merely have a new name that accurately reflects what I share with my readers.
Finding beauty in everyday is my mantra for 2017. No longer should we dread Monday’s, (even though they can be rough) we should be thankful and enjoy every day! Moving forward I want to focus on enjoying the moment, enjoying everyday and finding beauty in everything. Cheesy? Maybe. But I like it so it stays!
Back to the income report for January. The was small, but I still managed to make a small profit on the blog. Here you go:

Net Profit: $356
Not my best month ever but I can’t complain. I’m happy to make any money off blogging. Where else can you get paid for doing your favorite hobby while sitting on the sofa!? 🙂
In February will be focusing on increasing traffic, growing my social media presence and transitioning to the name change!
