December Stitch Fix Review : Happy Birthday to Me!

Disclaimer: I will get a $25 credit to Stitch Fix for every person I refer using my links. Thank you in advance if you sign up under my links! 🙂

My December fix came right in time for Christmas and my Birthday!  YAY!  My same rule is still in place – I can only keep 1 item out of every box! (You’re welcome bank account).  So my box was fun, cute and I loved two items a lot!  BUT I was good and only kept one!  Read on to see the fun that ensued…..

What is Stitch fix?

It’s a monthly box, with 5 fashion items (clothes or jewelry/accessories) that are handpicked by stylists. The box is delivered each month (on a day you choose)!

No time to shop or keep up with the latest fashions? No problem…Stitch fix will pick out clothes and ship them to your house!

It’s a mom’s dream really. My problem is I LOVE shopping, but in-store shopping has lost its luster because bringing two little kids shopping is more stressful than anything. Which is why Stitch fix is a great fit for me!

You’ll start out by taking a quiz on which fashion styles you Love, Like, Dislike (you get the idea).
Style
Then you’ll answer questions about your own measurements so the stylists can send you clothes that fit! (Which so far has been great from my experience). They also have petite options and maternity options! I WISH I would’ve known about this box when I was pregnant…it would’ve made clothes shopping so much more fun. Then you select the day you’d like your first shipment and bam! Your first fix on the way!

Once you receive your box, you have 3 days to decide if you’re going to keep an item or ship it back. I suggest keeping, at least one item in every box, so you don’t lose your styling fee!

How much is it?

You will pay $19 a month for a “styling fee” but the best part is that ‘fee’ will be credited toward any items in your box that you want to keep.

That $20 monthly fee goes towards any clothes you purchase. If you don’t like anything you lose that $20. (Most people keep one item and sell it online if it’s really not them.)

If you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off the entire box!! (This makes everything more affordable for sure!)

You can also refer your friends and family and get a $25 credit toward Stitch goods!

OK finally…here’s my December box: (Excuse the horrible lighting on the images! I swear I live in the dark…I leave home when it’s barely sunny and get home and it’s dark.  Bring on the summer!!)
I’ll start with my keeper! THIS.  I am obsessed with plaid right now…see it’s even on my Christmas Tree!

PlaidSo naturally this was the keeper.  I’ve worn it multiple times in the past few weeks so I know I made the right choice.  It’s the Landa Open Cardigan in Red by Absolutely

My next shirt is also plaid.  Except I don’t’ love button ups thanks to my “girls” getting in the way and popping them open.  I loved this shirt and it was super soft but alas, it had to go back.

I asked for a new sweater…this one was WAY cuter on then off.  I hated it at first but on, it’s kind of cute!  Either way, it went back.  It’s the Dahlya Nira Pullover Sweater in Red

This top was not my style…at all. It’s the Daniel Rainn Caddo Lace Blouse.  Did I mention it’s $74!  That’s all I have to say about that.  😉  Next.

Lastly, they sent me a jacket.  I am a North Face brat and only wear my puffy coats if they are rated for -100 degrees.  (I live in Colorado and spend my winters snowboarding!) North Face does a good job and I love them so, this jacket went back.  It’s the Andrew Marc Mons Puffer Jacket  It was kind of a 2-for-1 because the arms detached and you can wear it as a vest!! FUN right…but it was not for me or something I needed.

So as usual I kept one item.  I’m still loving my monthly fix…and I’m excited for next month to see what I get!
