OK my June update is a little late…but better late then never right!? I’m super excited for this post because June was a record month for my blog thanks to my new favorite affiliate – Social Stars! They’re awesome…that about sums them up! 🙂
In June I spent weekends traveling and even went to Mexico – yet I still managed to make enough off my blog to pay for our upcoming Disney tickets! (November in Florida..I can’t wait!)
Just to let you know, I publish my income report to hopefully inspire other bloggers to use their love for writing and connecting with others as an extra income source. (I’m not trying to brag…because in the blogging world, my income is tiny!) But everyone start somewhere and this is my beginning of making my blog my career! (Even though I’ve blogged for 4 years!) Change your mindset and amazing things will start happening! Watch.

I have a list of the affiliate programs that I use listed here. It’s a google doc, so anyone can access it and link to the affiliate programs I use. I hope this is helpful for new bloggers and small blogs to show that yes, with some dedication and hard work, you can make your blog profitable! YOU CAN DO IT!
I’ve learned that the balance between sponsored posts and original posts on a blog is hard! This is the first month I declined posts…you have to maintain your voice and work with brands that you support! Figuring out how to keep your blog original and not sounding like a commercial is OH so very important! I LOVE blogging and I love sharing with you all a few tips about income.
There’s so much to learn as a blogger…and let me tell you I feel like I only know a small percentage about it. Even though I’ve been blogging for years!! The biggest tip I can tell you today is don’t start a blog to make money! Absolutely do not! You will burn out because blogging is a full time job! Ask my family…they’ll tell you! 🙂 Blog because you love to connect with others and want to occupy a small place on the internet to share your world with others. THIS is what I love about blogging!
