When I started my blog years ago, I knew I wanted to connect with other like minded women. I knew I wanted to help others save money, shop on a budget and enjoy every moment of being a Mom. I wanted to educate and inspire. I wanted to share my life, passions and dreams. So I created a blog.
Months into blogging I realized my new hobby can be costly…so I began to research affiliate programs for bloggers like myself.
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Simply put, affiliate marketing is a way for your blog (the affiliate) to earn a commission for recommending products or services to your readers. Do you have a brand you love and want to share with others? Become and affiliate and you can make a commission off any sales from your blog. Those commissions can add up and help pay for your blogging fees, and some!
For me, affiliate blogging is one of the most exciting parts of blogging. It’s a sign that you’re little blog is growing up! One day it will be a big blog and YOU are well on your way!
When you make the jump to become an affiliate blogger you’re getting credit for all your hard work on your blog. You see your readers interacting with your favorite brands. You know your readers are listening and engaging with your blog.
I literally jumped up and down the first time someone purchased though one of my affiliate links. I made $2.50 off the sale but it was the most exciting $2.50 I’ve ever earned! <3
Blogging is no easy feat! It’s a labor of love and incredibly time consuming. It’s also incredibly rewarding. I LOVE blogging and don’t know what I did before I started my blog years ago. (Had tons of time!HA)
