SUMMER is finally here…long hot days and warm relaxing nights.
Those warm relaxing nights also mean sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine with friends and family. My favorite part of the season!!
I’m always on the lookout for a new wine to discover….I know some people stick with the same wine brand they’re used to, but with so many wine options out there you have to keep exploring and tasting! Right!?
Like many people, I think choosing a bottle of wine can be overwhelming. Unless you’re a wine sommelier and know everything about wine, it can be intimidating to say the least. I’ve been somewhat of a wine enthuasist for 10+ years now, and have run across many many amazing wines. I find most by luck…or by asking myself these questions when I’m wine shopping:
- Do I want a red or white?
- Do I want a dry wine or a fruity wine?
- Set a budget….how much are you willing to pay?
- Are you pairing with food or enjoying alone?
- Why are you drinking the wine? Is it for a gift or for you to drink? (People tend to spend more money on wine gifts but really you can find a great affordable wine).
Faustino Wines:
I recently came across Faustino Wines. Like most women I’m a sucker for an interesting label…A timeless fancy and foreign looking label to be precise.
I quickly did some quick online research to read about Faustino wines and saw that they rate very well and are also very affordable! Two things I’ve learned to appreciate when it comes to wine! Since I’m currently re-stocking my wine collection (9 months of pregnancy can dampen any wine collection lol) I decided to try a few from the Faustino collection.
First we enjoyed the white…which boasts being fresh and balanced on the palate with a nice fruity finish!
Definitely a keeper for any collection!
The next bottle we tried was the Rosé.
A summer staple that’s gaining in popularity each day…you can’t talk about wine without hearing about a Rosé. The Faustino Rosé did not disappoint. It was light with red fruity flavors. Another keeper!
Tonight we try the red which will go great with pasta! I’ll be sure to keep you updated on how I like it…but if the first two bottles are any indicator I think it’ll be another hit! (Follow along on my Instagram for that update!)
