15 Ways to Make Extra Cash At Home! (And start a FUN fund for Vacation, shopping, Christmas etc.)

I’m the QUEEN of finding money and making it when I need to. At least I tend to think I am. When it comes to saving money for a vacation or even a Christmas fund, it seems there’s always some other use that’s more pressing for your cash. Then when it’s time to take a vacation or shop for the holidays, I’m broke! Sound familiar?

Well I’m here to help you start a saving account for your FUN money. Here’s the TOP ways to make extra cash that will go straight into your FUN money saving account.

The first step is to set up a separate bank account that is strictly for your FUN money! This is so you’re not tempted to transfer funds into your checking account and use it to pay for a bill, groceries etc. You’ll understand once you’ve set this up how important a separate bank account is. There’s tons of promotions that banks do to draw in new customers to open a checking account. If you can find one that give $ or a gift as a bonus for opening an account go with them! Of course make sure there’s no fees involved and that it’s a reputable bank. Now on how to save and make money to go into that account:

Use COUPONS. (duh). This one is a no brainier since my site is about coupon’ing. If you’re new to coupon’ing then you’re used to paying full price for items. Well, once you start coupon’ing, you’ll be told “you saved $X today”. Take that money out of your account and bam…you just started your fun money fund! Read on to hear how to keep adding to that fund. (This past weekend I save $52 at Target alone with coupons…that number will add up weekly!) I also use Favado to help me find coupons and in-store deals!
Sell old items on ebay. You would be surprised what people buy….even if you doubt anyone wants it, list it! I’ve had so many items that once they sell I’m thinking “WHO bought that!” But it’s good for you, cause now you have extra cash! If you’re into thrift shopping, if you find a good deal in a thrift store, buy it and sell it for profit!
Have a garage sale! If you haven’t used an item in 4 years sell it! It’s a great way to avoid clutter and make some cash.
Sell big items on Craigslist (that didn’t sell at the garage sale!)
Sell old electronics or phones at USELL to get $ for them if Ebay is not an option
Sell at consignment stores. There are specialty stores for kids, adults, home goods you name it, you’ll find it.
Collect loose change around the house and cash them in! Most banks offer this for free if you’re a member.
Check the Federal website MissingMoney…you could be on there and never know it!
Join Nelson Home scan consumer panel and give your feedback on items you purchase! Not all zip codes are accepting applications to join but go see if yours does. You can earn cash and gift cards.
Use SWAGBUCKS to earn gift cards to retailers like Amazon.com! Use their search engine (yahoo) to search the web and earn points. Easy right.
Join Disney movie rewards if you buy or will buy Disney movies. Every Disney movie has a special magic code on the inside of the box. Use this code to collect rewards points by entering them on your account. Recently I went though all of my DVD’s and added my magic codes. I had enough points (over 2,000!) to buy a doll for my daughter as a birthday gift! (Which is sitting in my gift closet as we speak! Value is $29.) It may not be money in your pocket but it’s a easy way to buy a gift for a child in your life and save you from spending your cash.
Become a sales consultant for a work from home business like Avon, Stella and Dot or Scenty to name a few. (I know Avon is free to join and start selling. Others charge $100+ to get started)
Use Ebates or other cash back sites that will give you a % of your online purchase back! I’ve earned a LOT of money back though ebates. They also give you a $10 gift card FREE just for signing up!
Sign up with Ibotta, Checkout 51 , Berrycart and Shopmium -(referral code YUMKKKVV)! Now. WHY? Because these sites will give you rebates (money back) on the food you buy. It’s like reverse couponing in a way. Each app has specific foods that when you buy a brand, you take a picture of your receipt and upload it to your account to verify you purchased it. Over time the amounts add up! And fast because food is expensive! I’ve saved up over $50 between all the apps just in the past 2 months.
Take Surveys Online: I know you probably don’t believe this works, but it does. Here’s some reputable and reliable sources to start! Some even offer a $5 bonus to get started:
