Moms Ultimate List of Free Items for Baby

When I had my first born, I must admit that I throughly enjoyed waddling around BabiesRUs scanning everything I needed and wanted for my soon to be bundle of joy.

I was preparing for my baby shower…every soon-to-be-mom’s right of passage into motherhood.  I scanned EVERYTHING and anything I thought the baby would need.  It was a joyous day of shopping.  (Everyone hates to attend baby showers, but everyone loves when they get to have one!  Admit it Moms!  You know who you are.) 🙂

Fast forward to my 2nd child, some most of those baby shower items are either beat-up and overly used, or you lost them.  Oops!

Babies are expensive, and they turn into little humans that are even MORE expensive.  Everyone knows this.  So I’m here to share with you some of my favorite FREEBIES for expectant moms! (Yay!  Free stuff, Free Stuff – *chanting*)  I’m calling it the Ultimate List of Free Items for Baby!  You’ll pay shipping and handling on each of these, but they’re SO very worth it.  I can personally attest to most of them, read on…

Pay Shipping and Handling only:

1) FREE BREAST PADS – Even if you’re not planning on breastfeeding, you’ll need these!  If you are breast feeding, these become part of your daily wardrobe!  New moms…I’m going to drop some knowledge here that may or may not come as a surprise.  You’re boobs are going to leak.  In public…at home…on a boat…on a moat.  You name it and you’ll be leaking through your shirt, making for a rather embarrassing sight to see.  Don’t let this happen!  Breast pads are amazing, and they’ll save you from having to wash your bra daily!  You need breast pads…so why not get them for FREE right! 🙂 -Go to http://www.breastpads.com . – Select your 10 favorite pairs of Breast Pads – you will then be automatically directed to your shopping cart. -Enter the promo code “ENBABY” and it will deduct 100% off the cost of your Breast Pads – a $35 value!  Selections dwindle quickly, so get yours today!

2) BELLY BAND or Belly Body– You don’t realize you need this until you’ve tried it.  I didn’t use one with my first pregnancy, but with my 2nd, this was my daily go to.  Not only did it keep my jeans up and save me money on buying new maternity jeans, it supported my post-baby mom belly.   I ordered the 1 free belly button body and LOVED it!  Use code ENBABY to pay only shipping and handling.

3) HATS!  Everyone loves a cute baby face in a big fluffy hat. And mom’s love when the hat is FREE!.  Get a free EskimoKids Faux Fur Hat! A $35 value. (Just pay shipping) Not only is the quality great, the hats are ADORABLE on!

4) Baby Legs – I know you’re probably wondering what these are.  Baby legs are Leggings for babies.  They’re awesome because you can put on a onesie.  Then baby legs.  They make diaper changes a snap and they keep those chubby baby thighs warm and knees covered.  When your baby starts crawling, these will be a lifesaver!  I ordered my daughter neutral colored ones and I was able to reuse them with my son.  I loved them!  Winter, Summer, all year!  They’re awesome.  Use code ENBABY to get 5 pairs Free.
5) Nursing Pillow – Not going to name drop, but my first nursing pillow rhymed with poppy….it was a must have for baby but it was SO Expensive!  The cover alone was $30! And it ended up ripping after I washed it so many times.  When I had my 2nd baby, I ordered the Free nursing pillow below.  I paid $5 to upgrade to the super soft pillow.  I loved it! It was a little less full then a competitor’s nursing pillow, which actually worked out great for this short mama.  The boppy that I had was too full, and when I had it on my lap, the baby was not at chest height.  My torso is tiny…so this nursing pillow actually fit me better!   Use code ENBABY to get a free pillow or pay $5 for an upgraded softer pillow (super soft Minky Nursing Pillow☺ I recommend it).
6)Carseat Canopy/cover – Again, this was an item I didn’t know I needed until I tried one.  The carseat canopy comes in handy ALLLLL the time.  Going to a restaurant, transporting baby in and out of the car in weather, when baby is sleeping.  The uses for a carseat canopy goes onnnnnnn and on.  If you live in an area that has weather, snow, rain etc, you’ll need one.  They keep baby warm, dry and help with noise control.  You can order one for FREE, minus shipping and handling.  Use code ENBABY.
7) Baby Sling/Holder – This was the first item I ordered for myself. I was most excited about propping my baby up in a sling while I was super mom.  I must admit, this one i used the least!  I never love the way my sling fit, but I wanted to share it with you all, because a.) it’s free and b.) everyone is different. Some may love a sling.  The Sling just wasn’t my thing! 🙂  See how I rhymed that!  *wink.  Use code ENBABY and pay shipping only.

8) Nursing Cover – I know I know, babies and moms shouldn’t have to cover up.  I agree.  To each their own.  There was situations when I was completely comfortable nursing in public.  It seems with each baby, and each month you nurse, you become more comfortable nursing in public. It’s natural, babies need to eat.  Why should we shield them right?  I still recommend having a cover.  There was many instances where I personally didn’t feel comfortable nursing in the open.   Ex. Christmas with friends and family.  I couldn’t openly nurse in front of uncles and grandparents.  I personally felt uncomfortable.  But in public…I really didn’t care.  Funny how that is right?  Strangers can see my mom boob, family – NO! lol.  If you’re looking for a free cover, I personally used this one all the time.  I kept it in my diaper bag for those instances like above.  Use code ENBABY to pay only shipping.
