July Income Report – $717

This summer just flying by!  Seriously there’s not enough hours in the day when you’re working a full time job, getting your Master’s degree AND working on a blog.  My goal is to ONLY work on my blog as a full time job.  A dream and goal many many many bloggers have!

Blogging is not a get rich quick career.  I’ve been blogging for almost 4 years, and this is the first year I’ve made any profit on it!  My current goals are to really focus on SEO and photography. I want to share my stories and connect more with my readers.

It’s perfect for people that love to write, connect, inspire and share with others.  Here’s some of the real reasons I blog:
1) I love to connect with others around the globe via my blog

2) I love the relationships with brands and other bloggers

3) I get to publish and write about whatever I feel like!  No boss, no rules!

4) It’s my little corner of the internet.  It’s like an online diary of my life, family, and passions!

5) It’s a work from home option

6) It’s PERFECT for anyone that dreams of working for themselves!

I absolutely love blogging and I publish my income report to inspire other small blogs to keep going. Keep blogging and keep connecting!  With that said, this month I didn’t get to devote enough time to my blog..so my traffic is taking a dip and I’m sure in August, my income report will reflect that.

You get what you put into it!

In the grand scheme of the blogging world, my blog is tiny!  The never ending traffic, SEO and social media presence task are a full time job alone.  Blogging is a LOT of work, but I love the rewards!  If you’re thinking about starting you’re own blog, just be sure you’re doing it for the right reasons or YES, YOU will become burnt out!  Start a blog because you want to connect with others.  Not for the income!
Affiliate networks and sponsored posts are the main way I’m making income on my blog.  Since my traffic is steady and growing, not every month do I make enough to cash out my adsense (Ads on my blog).  I’d say once every 5 months right now is my average.  Know that there are multiple ways to monetize your blog, and this is just one way!  With all that said, here’s how I made money on my small blog this month.

Shareasale $50.00
Evite $75.00
Review Post $15.00
Activate by bloglovin $11.50

My monthly expenses for my blog include:

Host Gator $8.55 (my host!)

BoardBooster $5 (a Pinterest MUST)

Canva – $9.95

The list of affiliate programs that I use listed here.  It’s a google doc, so anyone can access it and link to the affiliate programs I use.  I hope this is helpful for new bloggers and small blogs to show that yes, with some dedication and hard work, you can make your blog profitable!  YOU CAN DO IT!

Connect with me on Facebook, and Twitter!  I love to connect and share other bloggers posts! I’m all about supporting other bloggers who do the same in return!
