How to get 8 Great Disney Freebies

It’s no secret, my family loves Disney!  The love stems from my minor obsession as a child.  I worked for a full year my 7th-grade-year throwing papers on a cold and super early in the morning paper route.  I hated every minute of it!  But I was earning money…and ALL of that money went into my very first Disneyland trip that my school took in 8th grade.  It was all I thought about.  I daydreamed in class.  And Disneyland was everything I ever imagined (and more)!  Now that I have children of my own, the magic of Disney is even better!  Nothing can light up my children’s faces like the sight of entering the Disney gates.  I cry at the parades watching their faces, I dream about our next trip!

I admit it…openly.  I’m obsessed with Disney.  But not the kind of obsessed you might be imagining.  I don’t have my house decorated with Disney swag, I just REALLY love going to visit the parks and I love Love LOVE Disney movies!  All in all…I drank the Disney juice.

Don’t get me wrong, Disney is NOT cheap.  We’re working on saving now for our 5th trip in 3 years, back to Disneyworld this November to experience Disney’s very Merry Mickey Christmas.  In order to make this trip a yearly or even twice a year trip on a big-time budget, we save, save, save!  But in the meantime to keep us excited about all things Disney…we order the FREE items Disney offers!

Did you know there are a ton of Freebies you can order, watch, download and play?

Well there is. Here’s a list of some of my favorite! (If you know of one that’s not listed here please let me know!)

1). If you’re planning or thinking about planning a vacation to Disney, you can order a FREE DVD about Disney Parks. We ordered this for our kids last summer and they watched it like it was a movie. They even brought it with us to Disney World to watch on the plane. Nothing like getting them excited up until the last minute! #Obsessed (Click the banner below to order the FREE DVD)

2). Want an autographed photo of your favorite character for free. How do you do this you ask? Write a letter to your favorite character and send it to:

Walt Disney World Communications. P.O. Box 10040 Lake Buena Vista, Fl, 32830-0040. OR to

Disneyland Resort, Guest Communications, Attn: Character Fan Mail- PO Box 3232. Anaheim, CA 92803-3232

They will send you an autographed photo back! (thanks for this tip couponing2Disney). Be sure to include your child’s name, return address, favorite character, and why you love the character so much!

3). Download Disney Movies anywhere. From time to time they offer free Disney movies to download to your app. I have The Incredibles that I downloaded for free a few months back! AND right now if you join, you get Wreck it Ralph for FREE! There’s also a TON of freebies you can get for zero points like this free downloadable mickey iron on.

4). Join Disney Movie Rewards. This is a rewards club that you enter your magic codes, which are found inside Disney movies that you purchase. You go online, or on the app you can download, and enter the codes for points. Once you accumulate enough points you can redeem them for prizes like Disney movies, toys, and gift cards. Even if you don’t own any movies, (but everyone should…it’s Disney!!) follow Disney movie rewards on social media, (facebook and pinterest) where they release bonus codes. These codes add up! I’ve earned thousands of points though movie codes and following them for bonus codes. My most recent freebie was a BigHero6 Kite! 🙂 Prefect for spring days.

5). Build a free Disney themed family decal. I’m not one to put this on my car, but it’s adorable to put in a memory box or photo album! You can order one per household and download the image to keep on your computer.

6). Request a FREE customized Disney World parks map. This freebie includes maps of the 4 parks customized to your family’s name and favorite rides. It also comes along with stickers! (One of my favorite freebies, my kids enjoyed when this came in the mail!) We actually took ours to Disney year month and it came in handy since it has a map of ALL of the Disney property…and the maps in the park don’t have this version of the map! (Click the banner below to order a FREE map). (If there is no banner…the freebie is currently not available. Check back to see if it becomes available again!)

7). If you’re going to be visiting Disney anytime soon, you can get a free pin (at guest services on Main Street) if you’re celebrating a birthday or it’s your fist time visiting Disney!

8). If you let your kids plan phone games, there’s a few great free apps for kids. My favorite are Frozen Free Fall, and Disney Story Central. This app reads with your child!  I never feel guilty when my kids are using this app!  I love it and so does my daughter!

9)*kind of bonus!*  If you use credit cards for purchases, you can order a Disney Visa.  Right now they’re running a promotion that if you spend $500 in 3 months on the card, you’ll earn a $200 Disney gift card.  If you add a user to your account you’ll get another $50 bonus!  That’s $250 in Disney Gift Cards!  These can be used at the gate for admission or anything else you want!  THIS Is worth it…just be sure you pay off your balance each month to avoid the interest!  I think of it as a GREAT Credit card perk.  And you also earn 1% back on all your purchases to use at Disney!

I hope you’re taking advantage of some of these great freebies!  They are fun for the whole family and easy on the wallet! 🙂
