Affordable and Easy Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Ahhh Valentines’ Day.  A day to celebrate LOVE!  In my book that love doesn’t have to be romantic, it can be the love of your kids or your parents or your significant other.  In the past I’ve always associated it with “what are we doing romantically for Valentines Day?”. This year I’m all about celebrating my family and the love we all have for each other.   I can honestly say, for the past 5 years, the hubby and I have only exchanged cards. Boring and generic. So this year I’ve decided to really celebrate each other and show each member of my family how much I appreciate and love each of them.

That doesn’t mean I’m going to spend a ton of money!  Heck no, I’m still recovering from Christmas!!

So here’s a list of some ideas (a few that I’m buying) to give to my loved ones as a reminder that while it’s Valentines Day….a day that’s completely made up…it’s still fun. I love you and appreciate you!

1). Make your own cards! They’re more personal and memorable! Here’s the Valentines Day card I had a crafty and talented friend make me (which I’ll be giving to my husband. I think he’ll laugh): cost – nothing since all the paper was scraps! (She has a cricket so I was able to get her to cut our the letters easily) I say skip the $5.99 hallmark card and make your own card! Need ideas on cards? Head here to check out the DatingDivas post.
